I'm in Kindergarten!

I still can't believe I'm old enough to have a kiddo in Kindergarten but look out world Dylan is ready.

He was so proud to walk to school with our next door neighbor Demetri. They loved their back packs and have fun "chats" all the way to school.
I was pretty nervous/tearful the entire way as we walked that first morning. Dylan marched in and hung up his back pack, quickly finding his nametag and sitting in his desk! He was anxious to get going on the morning art project and I tearfully told him how proud I was and excited that he was such a big boy.
He said his quick goodbye to me and we were off, at least I can still get a hug and kiss at school....I know that will be done soon as well but for now I will take what I can get.
Even though he is only gone 2.5 hours a day I'm dying to get details of every minute. So far this is what I've gotten
- I don't remember
- I just played mom
- It was fun
- I met a boy, I don't remember his name

Hopefully one day I'll get the run down, until then I just get to see his cute little smile as he lines up at the end of the day to see me before we walk home. These years are so precious I'm just trying to take them a day at a time.

Sunriver

Our first official family vacation as a family of five was at Sunriver. Although the weather wasn't really hot we still enjoyed many hours in the pool. Dylan has become quite a summer and is nearly swimming on his own. Chase thinks the water is the best thing ever and will splash and flap his little wings the entire time. James preferred the baby pool or the hot tub but loved the freedom of cruising around the water on his own this year.

We also got some time to rent bikes and spent many hours on the gorgeous trails. We were very impressed with Dylan this year he was able to go on a 6 mile ride all the way to the stables by himself. He's been riding a bike for almost a year but we had no clue how far he could ride. The little guys were in a bike trail and loved being pulled by dad. Once we got to the stables Dylan and James were eager to hop on some horses.

One of our favorite stories from the trip was in the hot tub. Matt has turned the jets on for the boys so they could play in the bubbles, after a few minutes James asked if we could "turn off the planes." James our funny little comedian always keeps us on our toes!!

Dylan turns 5

We had so much fun watching the big man turn 5 this year. It was all about Batman, Legos and Transformers for the little guy. He felt so special and was sure to tell his brother that it was all about him today and he gets to blow out the candles. The highlight to the birthday was getting the joint birthday present "artic cat." Lets just say that its been charged every day since we got it!!

James turns 3!!

It really seems amazing that I could possibly have a second child over the age of three. James has been such a blessing in our lives. He constantly keeps us on our toes and always gives us a good laugh. He loves to dance to music and wrestle with his brother. He comes up with the wittiest things to say that definitely makes us question where did that come from?

One day James was testing his limits and I sent him to time out, the next thing Matt and I hear was, "I'm not happy Bob, not happy." We both looked at each other and burst out laughing. It wasn't until a few weeks later that we were watching The Incredible with the kiddos that we figured it out. He knew exactly when to use and now its a common phrase in our every day language. Even his grandparents use it on the golf course when they make a bad shot!

Happy Birthday my little man, please don't grow up too fast!!

Rub A Dub Dub Three Men In a Tub

The boys are loving seeing Chase change and do new things. The latest new adventure has been bath time. Although there is less room to play these days the new splash monster has been a great addition!

Our Baby isn't a Baby anymore!!

Wow we can't believe how fast the fisrt six months have gone! Chase is changing so much every week. Although he might be tiny he is a mover and a shaker already. He's been rolling over for a few months and now he is even sitting.

He is trying out his Johnny Jumper but still doesn't really get it. We just started solid foods last week, Matt and I really aren't big fans of this phase but regardless messy faces here we come!

Cute Cousins

Chase and Paige are only 5 days apart its so fun watching them grow up together. Its amazing that they hit every milestone together. Rolled over within a few days of each other and now starting solid foods. Here are a few cute pics from the holidays!

Christmas

It was such a special Christmas this year, Dylan and James really got into the Santa action. They both loved decorating the tree and had to touch all the ornaments daily. Our favorite quote from Dylan Christmas morning albeit at 5am in our bed but he told us, "I heard Santa Clause last night and when he came down the chimney he got half way and came down with a bound!" It was so special seeing their little faces light up with all the presents. We had much to be thankful for this year with the addition of our little Chase.
